Regional Site Manager

Office Moms & Dads, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Clark County, Washington, is a community of qualified volunteers partnering with child welfare offices to provide a nurturing environment for children entering foster care.

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED) and the Development Director (DD), the Regional Site Manager (RSM) will spearhead targeted recruitment and regional development efforts as Office Moms & Dads (OMD) continues to strengthen its core staffing structure. A new position in the organization, the RSM will operate as a local extension of the executive team. They will be responsible for running special recruiting events that would grow the region’s volunteer pool through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), as well as fundraising events that would allocate resources to local children and families. The RSM will play an active role in training new site volunteers and Volunteer Coordinators at the annual Summit meeting in Vancouver, Wa.

This is a .5 FTE (20 hours per week) position starting at $31,000 annual salary, with some work from home flexibility. All non-contract OMD employees at .5 FTE and above are eligible for health benefits reimbursement (up to $337/month), a phone stipend ($50/month), a parking space if applicable, and 2 weeks (prorated from start date) PTO per year. A MacBook Air laptop will be provided. While utilizing online meeting platforms (Zoom) when necessary, travel within the assigned region will be required and will be eligible for mileage reimbursement. Increased hours/salary to be determined as volunteer recruitment, fundraising support, and regional site management success and growth continues. Growth opportunities, including raises and expanded hours, will be assessed each January with an annual review process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

OMD has budgeted 10 hours per week for this position. Duties can largely be done from home, with a commitment to at least 3 hours in-office one day per week. Some duties require own transportation, and will be eligible for mileage reimbursement according to OMD policy.

  1. Meet or exceed the region’s annual DEI volunteer recruitment goal
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with minority culture groups and individuals to cultivate inroads that will strengthen the mission and deepen the impact of OMD
  3. Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with corporate donors throughout the region, in partnership with Development Director (DD)
  4. Provide supportive documentation (pictures, data, stories/soundbites) regarding regional sites for grant writing proposals, reports and social media platforms, ongoing and as needed
  5. Assist executive team in New Volunteer Training events as needed (primarily via Zoom)
  6. Oversee the organization and execution of regional fundraising events, in partnership with DD and local Volunteer Coordinators (VCs)
  7. Oversee and support a team of 3-7 VCs, meeting with them (in person or via Zoom) on a monthly or bi-monthly basis to mentor and support them
  8. Maintain regular contact with assigned Office Liaison for each child welfare office that OMD serves within assigned region
  9. Participate in monthly Executive team meetings (in person or via Zoom), helping to craft agendas, track progress and orchestrate success in accordance with the OMD Strategic Plan
  10. Help plan and execute the annual Summit meeting, in partnership with Executive Director
  11. Assist as needed with event preparation and execution for regional market major fundraising events

QUALIFICATIONS

The Regional Site Manager will be thoroughly committed to Office Moms & Dads’ mission, vision and values (located on our website). All candidates should have proven organization, communication, and technology management experience. An ideal candidate is highly organized, and has the ability to think strategically, ask questions, and work within a team.

Specific requirements include:

  • Experience in volunteer recruitment, relationship cultivation, donor stewardship, event planning and project management
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills (including public speaking) with a high degree of professionalism
  • Knowledge of Google Office suite (Sheets, Docs, Forms, etc), Zoom, DocuSign, MailChimp and DonorPerfect platforms (training is available)
  • Ability to travel between locations within assigned region when needed
  • References, work samples and background check may be required prior to offer
